Grace Bible is an evangelical Protestant church, accepting the challenge of New Testament Christianity in the Twenty-First Century.
Our Core Beliefs
A complete Doctrinal Statement is available from the church upon request.
The following Core Beliefs are condensed from our doctrinal statement:
God. God is One, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Mankind. Man was created in the image of God, but in Adam fell into sin, with the result that all humans are sinners and cannot, by their own goodness, merit eternal life.
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the Second Person, Who became incarnate through the conception by the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary; and Who, in His incarnate Person, is fully God and perfect Man.
The Holy Spirit is the eternal Third Person of the Godhead, who regenerates, indwells, baptizes and seals all believers in Christ, and Who empowers all believers who live under Christ's Lordship.
Salvation is received by faith alone in Jesus Christ, Who died for our sins and rose again.
Sanctification. Every true believer is holy, or sanctified, in Christ. This is called positional sanctification. The believer's earthly life is progressively made holy, conformed to the image of Christ, through faith and power of the Holy Spirit.
Assurance of Salvation. All who are born of the Spirit through faith in Christ are eternally secure, because their salvation does not depend upon them, but wholly on the finished work of Christ.
The Church is the Body of Christ, and exists universally as an elect company of believers who are baptized by the holy spirit into union with Christ. The church exists locally as a body of believers who voluntarily meet to worship God, glorify Christ, evangelize the unsaved, and build up one another through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Spiritual Gifts are given to every believer by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of serving the Body of Christ.
The Christian Life is meant to be a life of service and testimony in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Ordinances of the church are baptism in water and the Lord's Supper.
Angels are spiritual beings, created before mankind. Some of the angels rebelled against God under the leadership of Lucifer, who was one of the archangels. The majority of the angels stood firm in obedience to God and now serve Him by serving His people. When people die, they do not become angels.
Dispensations are stewardships of time through which God progressively revealed His Word and Plan for mankind. The present dispensation is called The Age of Grace.
The Lord's Return. The blessed hope of the Christian is the imminent return of the Lord for His church, and the consummation of the age according to the prophecies of the Old and New Testaments. The Lord's return for His church will be followed by a seven-year period called the Great Tribulation, after which Christ will return to earth to establish His rule over mankind for a period of one-thousand years. Time as we know it will then end; a new universe will be created, eternally inhabited by the people of God. Those who have been saved through faith in Christ will live with Him in the new heaven and the new universe. Those who refuse to accept his salvation will be consigned to an eternity of darkness and conscious death, without God.
